Trenchless Sewer Repair in Riverside
No-Dig Sewer Line Repair for Riverside & Corona Properties Since 1998
When a sewer line fails, the last thing you want is a crew tearing up your yard, driveway, or landscaping to reach it. We offer trenchless sewer repair to residential and commercial customers throughout Riverside and Corona, restoring damaged lines through small access points rather than a continuous trench. Since 1998, Sheldon's Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing has been a family-owned fixture in the Inland Empire, and we bring that same same-day availability and 100% transparency to every sewer repair evaluation we perform.
Trenchless methods access the damaged pipe at one or two entry points. From there, we rehabilitate the line using pipe lining or pipe bursting, depending on what the inspection reveals. Your driveway, garden, and paved surfaces can stay intact while the repair is often completed faster than traditional dig-and-replace work.
Ready to find out whether your sewer line qualifies for a no-dig repair? Call Sheldon's Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing today at (951) 574-2226 for a free estimate and same-day evaluation when you need it.
Why Riverside Sewer Lines Fail
The Inland Empire’s soil conditions are hard on buried pipes. Expansive clay soil swells during wet winters and contracts through dry summers, creating repeated ground movement that stresses pipe joints over time. In older Riverside neighborhoods, cast iron and clay tile lines with even minor cracks become entry points for tree roots. Those roots grow, block flow, and cause recurring backups that drain snaking alone won’t permanently fix.
Watch for these warning signs of a damaged sewer lateral:
- Sewage backup in toilets, tubs, or floor drains
- Gurgling sounds from drains after flushing
- Rotten-egg odors inside or near the building
- Slow drainage across multiple fixtures at once
In Riverside, you’re responsible for maintaining the sewer lateral from your home to the property line. The city maintains everything from the property line to the main. That means tree root damage and ground-movement cracks on your side of the line are yours to address. Catching the problem early can give trenchless methods a better chance of success.

Pipe Lining & Pipe Bursting: How Each Method Works
Before any repair begins, we run a camera inspection through the sewer line. The footage tells us the pipe’s condition, the location and type of damage, and which trenchless method fits. That step helps protect you from paying for an approach that won’t hold. Once we review the findings with you, we explain exactly which method applies and why before work begins.
Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining
Pipe lining inserts a flexible, resin-saturated liner into the damaged pipe. The liner is expanded against the pipe wall and cured, hardening into a smooth new pipe inside the old one. It’s well-suited to lines with cracks, corrosion, or root intrusion where the pipe still holds its basic shape.
Pipe Bursting
When the existing pipe is too deteriorated for lining, pipe bursting can be the answer. A bursting head is pulled through the old pipe, fracturing it outward into the surrounding soil while pulling a new PVC pipe into position behind it. The result is a fully replaced line without an open trench. Both approaches are accessed through small entry points.
